By installing or using Vidicta, you agree to these terms. You may use Vidicta for personal, educational, or classroom listening practice in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the websites and content you access.
What Vidicta provides
Vidicta adds interactive listening exercises to supported YouTube videos with available English captions. Features may change as the product develops, and compatibility can depend on Chrome, YouTube, caption availability, and changes made by third parties.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Vidicta, attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer it where prohibited by law, bypass platform protections, or use it to infringe another person’s rights.
Content and third-party services
Vidicta does not own or provide the videos and captions you practice with. You remain responsible for how you access and use third-party content. YouTube and Chrome are third-party services governed by their own terms. Vidicta is not endorsed by or affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Intellectual property
The Vidicta name, logo, website, extension interface, and original software are owned by Vidicta or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials.
No learning guarantee
Vidicta is an educational practice tool. Results depend on the learner, available content, and regular practice. We do not guarantee a particular exam score, language level, or outcome.
Availability and warranties
Vidicta is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every video, caption track, browser version, or device. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Vidicta will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the service.
